FLSUN V400 ORIGINAL ENCLOSURE HINGE CONVERTION KIT

This is a kit for converting the original flsun V400 enclosure sliding mechanism to door type hinge.

-No need to fear the door dropping on you
-You can use the build plate as intended!
-Printhead cannot collide with the door if you open it wile running!

Additionally you need:

10 x M4x12 screws
10 x M4 nuts
2 x M6x50 bolts
2 x M6 washers
2 x M6 nyloc nuts
4 x 10mmx3mm round magnet

Everything else is printed.

You need to drill holes for the hinges and magnet holders to the door!

Easy way is to first print the column pcs, install the lower column parts, then slide the door in it's place.

Then install the column top parts and install the hinges with the M6 bolts, now you can use the hinge as a guide to drill the holes.

The door magnet holders have hole in them, it's meant to have the magnet printed inside it. I printed the part with 0.2mm layer height so paused the print at layer 23 and insert the magnet, then resume the printing.

The column magnet holders have slot for magnet and the magnet can be dropped after print. the slot is made a bit loose, so use drop of glue / 3d pen / etc.

The door handle can be installed with the existing door slider mount holes.

When the hinge holes are marked to the door, you can remove the original slide mechanism from it and drill the new holes. Then install the new hinges to the door and tape the door closed. Now you can use the magnet holders to mark the holes for them.

The column "groove" is a bit narrow, there ain't too much space to play with the M4 nut, so be careful when drilling the holes. And after the parts are installed to the door, align the nuts with the column groove for better usage.

The column parts can be used to convert all of the doors to open as door style, or you ca just convert a single door. If you don't want to convert all of the doors, I have made the "magnet only" parts.

The column parts are a bit snug fit, this was intended. I slid the bottom parts from the top, but it was a bit pain. For more convenient install, you can remove the rubber feet from the column and slide the part from below.

Update 25.10. ed ColumnParts_mirrored.zip, this archive contains mirrored column parts for left hand opening (door opens from right side, instead of left) The door hinges and magnet holders are interchangable as is.

I used s for the door magnet holders, everything else is designed to print without s.
