You like Cults and you want to help us continue the adventure independently? Please note that we are a small team of 4 people, therefore it is very simple to us to maintain the activity and create future developments. Here are 3 solutions accessible to all:
Sharing and ing on Cults3D guarantees that designs remain in makers community hands! And not in the hands of the 3D printing or software giants who own the competing platforms and exploit the designs for their own commercial interests.
Cults3D is an independent, self-financed site that is not able to any investor or brand. Almost all of the site’s revenues are paid back to the platform’s makers. The content published on the site serves only the interests of its authors and not those of 3D printer brands who also wish to control the 3D modeling market.
Amazing, I'm looking at the length of the cuffs on these though and think they were probably only for riding? That cuff looks too long to be able to rotate your wrist for sword fighting. I guess I'm just going to have to print them off and find out! 😆
Thanks! If you want extra flexibility at the wrist, you may drill out the holes on the side of the hand plates a bit wider, or even slot them. I'm happy with the amount of motion that is available the way they currently sit, but it's true the articulation could be boosted further.
As for the size of the cuff, they're big enough to sit just before the arm cannon on the vambraces. Wrist rotates fine!
Like I said I'd have to print them and try them 😁 My experience with a long armoured cuff is that it restricts the movements you need. Also those historical fingers barely protect you from anything 😆 (I say this is as someone who's had a sword thrust between their fingers 🤣)
